Three things have lined up. Manga and anime readership in India has grown enormously, especially among students and young professionals. Digital drawing tools have made it possible for a single artist to produce professional-looking pages. And reading on phones means a creator no longer needs a print publisher to reach readers — a chapter can go from drawing tablet to readers' screens the same week.
